Thomas Barlow is a media activist and journalist who co-founder Real Media (an independent media cooperative that reports on protest and activism) and the Independent Media Association (which is an association of nearly 50 independent media organisations), and Bywire News (an app which is the home of independent media). He the event organiser for the Media Democracy Festival, and helps organise other media events and campaigns.
