Notes:

I would like to add a proposal around hosting a festival in september in the cafe and the garden somewhat like the TWT festival, hosting music and entertainment in the garden and talks and workshops in the cafe room that we can stream online for those unable to attend in person.

There’s a meeting for this on saturday at 4:30 for those interested. It’ll be at this link: https://meet.jit.si/coopbrumfest

Hello Mani,
Shall I add the item on to Sunday’s agenda?

Amelia

If you can that would be great x

Festival - Mani

  • At cafe and garden.

  • Music, stalls.

  • Aiming for September.

Olivia - Possible look at Arts Council funding or other applications.

  • More details to follow

Looking for more info on the info. We’re going to maybe try and make a decision on it in the next meeting or so.

There is a Trello for organising tasks and

Solidarity Cafe - Cecille

  • Also got access to the bank account.

  • Already got one grant

  • One applied

  • 3 more to go

  • Need a third director for the CIC board - Seb is going to do it.

Sean - Wasn’t sure he would be involved in the project. We haven’t resolved how the kitchen interacts with wider activites.

Reminded Leo of the need for a legal structure for Cooperation Birmingham as a whole that it is a legal co-operative structure with a bank account.

Sean and Amelia gives an outline of the history of Coop Brum for Olivia.

Amelia - Possible money available via Northfield/Ollie project.

Sean and Cecille to talk at end about some of the details.

Short discussion about funding.

Possible action during Febuary half term

  • Possibly providing food

Leo - not sure exactly where we could be effective

  • Possibly cooking every day

  • Would need to contact chefs

  • Cecille has got back in touch with Fareshare

Amelia - The challenge is distribution

Leo - How do we position our stratergy compared to the first iteration of the Sol Kitchen.

Sean - perhaps we could work again via Northfield as creating a recipients list from scratch is difficult.

Leo - To speak with Ciara and Seb and see how they’re feeling about the idea.

Amelia - Has emailed the list about social media and will keep an eye out for replies

Sean - Will think about the content for this week

Any Other Buisness

Seb and Sean to possibly collab on neckerchief design
