Draft e-mail to send to groups

Hey all, I’ve drafted a template e-mail that we could send out to groups to try and get more outreach. Let me know what you think/suggest changes. be good to start sending it out soon!

Hello!

We are from a group called Cooperation Birmingham. We are a cooperative of working class people living in and around Birmingham. We want to build an organisation that provides mutual aid to us and and our surrounding communities. We want to build a solidarity economy that works for us and not for the rich.

We’re just getting in touch with you about a mutual aid project we are setting up currently which will be a solidarity kitchen providing free vegan meals during the Corona virus crisis to those who need it. The meals will be delivered to the homes of all who ask for them in the Birmingham area!

We’ve been working hard to make sure all our safeguarding, health and safety and hygiene procedures are up to scratch and looking for volunteers in our community to help the project run smoothly. If you or anyone from your group thinks they’d like to join and help us out please let us know by e-mailing us on this address.

We are also hoping you can help us with reaching out to those in the community who may benefit the most from receiving free meals such as elderly and disabled people or anyone else who cannot leave their home currently. The meals are for everyone and we don’t have an specific criteria but we do want to make sure we are reaching out to the people who may not otherwise be able to feed themselves effectively for whatever reason.

I’ve attached a copy of our flyer which could be sent out in electronic form or printed out and given to anyone who you think might be interested in receiving meals/knows others who may be interested. We hope to print some ourselves soon which could be picked up from Warehouse Cafe in Digbeth, where we are running the kitchen.

Please let us know if you can help and let us know any questions you have about the project.

In solidarity,
