@Lai Sorry didn’t see this reply before! Yeah I did play around with some levels in the edit but obviously not enough and your ear will be far better than mine. I’ve made those adjustments now and also faded up at the end so it comes to a bit of a crescendo. Give me a shout when you’ve got the text/audio about coop brum and I should be able to get that in there by the end of the day/early tomorrow so it can go out asap and you can let people know about the reopening in good time.
Hiya everyone, my edit of the film here - feedback welcome. Ours may be suited to a different purpose, one as a promotional video and one as a short-form documentary. Thoughts on that and if they can co-exist would be good, also if this one doesn’t hit the money and can be thrown in the bin! Thanks a lot.
We are now running a Solidarity Kitchen, a food support service which takes food directly to people. This will allow people to self-isolate without the worrying about not having enough to eat.
I’ve added some titles and the logo in at the end of the video to include the Coop - putting something in at the start didn’t seem to work so well so I hope just having them at the end works for you. As we said, the Coop as a whole might be best explained in a different video and I’d be happy to work on something like that in the future if you guys were keen - I’m sure Ben might be interested in getting involved too.
I hope you find the titles okay - they’re not what you suggested above as, given they come at the end, I thought Ciara’s narration gives enough of a description of what the aims of the kitchen are. However, the description of the Coop in the first title does come almost word for word from the pages of the website, so I hope that’s okay.
And I’ve uploaded it here to Vimeo as requested: https://vimeo.com/434387222
If you want the description there changed, just say.
Well, I say ‘finished product’ - let me know if you or anyone else would like any further changes, very happy to make them. I’ll also try and work on an instagram edit of 1 minute or less.
Hopefully you’ve seen Ben’s slightly longer cut of the footage too, which gives a more in depth look at the project and works really well I think.
@BenC thanks to you also! Are you happy with your edit? Could you do something similar and upload a final edit to Youtube or Vimeo and then if possible a download link for archival purposes?
Thanks Leo, I was happy but have made some more changes and have uploaded a further cut to youtube. As with Aaron’s mesage, let me know if there is anything you are unhappy with or want changing. I’ve included phrasing and logos consistent with Aaron’s edit. I will upload a version to google drive so you can download it too.
If you do plan on sharing them via your social/website channels please do let me know so I can also share it publicly too.
